The number 1 struggle most of my clients have is finding the time to eat well AND the number 1 thing that always improves my client’s symptoms is eating well.
So with this in mind, I have put together a 5-day eating plan that will help cleanse your body, improve your eating habits and have you feeling better.
The best part is that I have taken all the hard work out of it for you so that preparing these meals won’t take up your precious time.
WHY do I need to detox?
Our bodies remove toxins (or waste) from the body via our organs of detoxification.
These detox organs are our liver, kidneys, and bowels. Our bodies are detoxing 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Sometimes when our diet hasn’t been ideal our detox organs can become overwhelmed and a back up of toxins that are circulating in our bodies can make us feel sluggish, tired, you may be carrying a few extra kilos or maybe your skin has had a few breakouts lately, don’t you hate that!
All of these symptoms might be a sign that you need a bit of a detox.
This detox is designed to kick start your health and well-being and will give you a taste of what it is like to feel more healthy and vital. Hopefully, this will motivate you to continue on your healthy journey once the 5 days are over.
WHAT kind of detox is this?
The idea around the 5 day detox challenge is to give your digestive system and liver a rest from some the food and lifestyle choices that you might have been making. This gives it a chance to process the back load of toxins that have built up giving your body a spring clean.
This detox is based on a diet free from processed foods, sugars, and other foods which place a burden on your liver. Once you have completed the detox you will have more energy, feel better and may even lose a little weight.
HOW does the detox work?
This 5-day detox will be based solely on healthy eating and healthy lifestyle choices and should be safe for most people. I know that time is precious and limited so the recipes are designed to be easy to prepare and won’t take you a lot of time.
Once the Challenge kicks off I will send you a short booklet with all of the information that you will need to get started on your 5 Day Detox Challenge (including a shopping list of foods you will need). I will also be sending you emails with some additional tips and encouragement to keep you on track.
To keep you motivated and on track, I have set up a Private Facebook Page so that we can all offer each other support. I will also post in the Facebook page and answer any questions that you have in there.
What kind of foods are included in the detox?
This detox is based on sensible eating back to basics eating. Foods that are avoided are red meat, dairy, sugar, processed foods, caffeine, alcohol and gluten. You will be very surprised how delicious your meals can be without these foods. Don’t worry there is PLENTY of other foods to eat and you will NOT go hungry.
Is this suitable for pregnant women?
Yes. The meal plan is based on sensible eating with plenty of variety. These meals will not leave you hungry even when you are eating for 2!
Can the rest of my family eat these meals?
Yes. The main family meal can be eaten by all. There may be some fussy members of the family that may turn up their noses at some meals but there is enough flexibility to accommodate those more “challenging” eaters in the house.
What if I don’t like some of the foods on the meal plan?
There are guidelines sent along with the meal plan substituting one food for another is very easy. If there is any uncertainty I am here to help.
